Accessibility Statement
STX Therapy Co. PLLC is committed to providing a website that is usable, understandable, and welcoming to as many people as possible, including individuals with disabilities. Access to clear health information is part of access to care.

Our Commitment to Accessibility
STX Therapy believes that people seeking behavioral health information should be able to find it, read it, and act on it without unnecessary barriers. We design and maintain this website with the understanding that visitors may use screen readers, screen magnification, voice control, keyboard-only navigation, captioning, or other assistive technology, and that many visitors are navigating our content during periods of stress, fatigue, or emotional difficulty.
Accessibility is treated here as an ongoing clinical and ethical responsibility rather than a one-time technical task. As our website grows, accessibility is considered at the point of design and content creation, not added afterward.
Our Accessibility Standard
We work toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. These guidelines are the internationally recognized reference for making web content perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust.
Working toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA means that we aim to provide sufficient color contrast, text that can be resized without loss of function, content that does not rely on color alone to convey meaning, navigation that is consistent and predictable, visible focus indicators, target sizes that are reasonable for users with limited dexterity, and help that is available in a consistent location.
STX Therapy does not claim formal accessibility certification, and no certification of conformance has been issued for this website. We describe our goals, our practices, and our known limitations openly so that visitors can make informed decisions and tell us when something is not working.
Keyboard Navigation
This website is built to be operated without a mouse. Interactive elements including navigation menus, links, form fields, accordions, and buttons are intended to be reachable and operable using the Tab, Shift plus Tab, Enter, Space, and arrow keys. A visible focus indicator is intended to show which element currently has keyboard focus, and the reading and navigation order is intended to follow the visual order of the page.
Screen Reader Compatibility
Pages are structured using semantic headings, landmark regions, descriptive link text, and labeled form fields so that screen reader users can understand page structure and move efficiently through content. Headings follow a logical hierarchy rather than being used for visual styling alone. Form fields on the contact page include programmatically associated labels, required-field indicators, and plain-language guidance.
Readable Typography and Visual Design
Type sizes, line lengths, and line spacing are chosen for sustained reading comfort. Body text is set at a size and measure intended to remain legible on small screens and at increased zoom levels. Text can be resized using standard browser controls without loss of content or functionality. Color combinations are selected with contrast in mind, and meaning is never communicated by color alone.
Alternative Text for Images
Images that convey information are given descriptive alternative text. Images that are decorative, including background textures and artwork used for visual rhythm, are marked so that assistive technology can skip them rather than announce content that carries no informational value. Original STX artwork used throughout the site is described in a way that conveys its purpose and subject.
Third-Party Platforms and Content
Portions of this website depend on third-party platforms and services, including our website platform, scheduling tools, form handling, embedded media, and any client portal or telehealth service used in the delivery of care. STX Therapy does not control the code, updates, or accessibility conformance of these third-party services, and their accessibility may change without notice.
Where a third-party tool creates a barrier, we will work to provide the same information or complete the same task through an alternative method, such as by telephone, email, or direct assistance from our staff.
Documents and PDFs
STX Therapy is intentionally moving patient information, notices, and policies onto accessible web pages rather than distributing them primarily as downloadable PDF documents. Web pages can be resized, read aloud, translated, and navigated by assistive technology more reliably than most PDFs.
Where a document must be provided in PDF form, we work to make it readable by assistive technology. If you encounter a document you cannot access, we will provide the content in an alternative format, including large print, plain text, electronic text, or a verbal review with a member of our team, at no cost to you.
Reporting an Accessibility Barrier
If you experience difficulty accessing any part of this website, or if you need information from this site provided in a different format, we want to hear from you. Reports from visitors are one of the most reliable ways we identify problems.
When you contact us, it is helpful, though not required, to include the page address, a description of the barrier you encountered, the device, browser, and assistive technology you were using, and the best way to reach you. Please do not include protected health information, clinical details, or other sensitive information in an accessibility report.

Our Response Commitment
We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within three business days and to provide a substantive response, including a remediation plan or an alternative means of access, within ten business days. When a barrier cannot be corrected quickly, we will tell you what we are doing, what the expected timeline is, and how you can obtain the information or complete the task in the meantime.
Ongoing Improvement
Accessibility work at STX Therapy is continuous. Our ongoing practices include reviewing new pages and sections before publication, testing keyboard navigation and heading structure, reviewing color contrast and type legibility, writing alternative text as images are added, prioritizing accessible web pages over downloadable documents, and re-reviewing the site at least annually and whenever significant changes are made.
Limitations and Disclaimer
Despite our efforts, some content on this website may not yet fully conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Known limitations may include third-party embedded content, legacy documents, and features that depend on external platforms. This statement describes our goals and current practices; it is not a warranty, guarantee, or certification that every element of the site conforms to a particular standard at all times.
This statement is provided for informational purposes and does not create contractual obligations or alter the terms under which clinical services are provided.
